I was born in Aalen in 1941. Went to school there and left when I was 12 years old. Just wondering if any of my old school friends are still in Aalen.

Marie Ulrich Pousson (mpousson@yahoo.com) from Houston, TX USA
My granfather was born in Aalen, and came to the US when he was 12. He lived on Ulrichstrasse, which I am told is a street which has had a name change. My daughter will be there visiting this week, and I hope she finds it. We have a photo of his old house from an uncle's previous visit. I am happy to find this website, and hope to visit someday myself. The city looks charming!

Dear Mrs. Pousson,

thank you very much for your entry. The Ulrichstraße has been renamed to Marienstrasse. You can find it on our map:

I will be visiting Aalen soon and want to see the nunnery that my mom grew up in in the 1960s. Does anyone know of old nunneries in Aalen that house children?

Have been trying to locate my birthplace in Aalen, which was at 13 Kellerstrasse. Does anyone know if the street name has changed? My last visit was in 1970. Would appreciate any help.

Best wishes from Wisconsin

On the12th of June 2007 I have written my first comment in the Guest book.
I would like at this moment to send my Chrismas wishes to the Aelen city administration and of course to the Aelen Hospital Staff, the hospital where I was born in 15.11.1946.
Our address in Wasseralfingen was Ulrichstrasse 6.
I had made in the past a fiew visits to Germany one of thema very short to Wasseralfingen but I did not have the opportunity to spend enough time. I remember the area which is very beautiful and nice.
All the Best
